The alternative rock band pushes back their new album's release to October.

'The 2nd Law', Muse's sixth studio album, will only be released on October 1st, two weeks after what was first announced.

The band revealed that Elton John wanted to collaborate with them for the Olympics' music. Unfortunately, the famous singer pulled out of the project after a falling out with the event's organisers. Muse created 'Survival', the Official Olympic song and, from there, started recording the new album.

This record is expected to sound more electronical, supposedly inspired by Skrillex's dubstep. The first single extracted from it is called 'Madness' and will be released on August 20th.
