Unveiled online, ‘Runways’ is the first track from The Killers’ upcoming album 'Battle Born'.

One of the most awaited comebacks, The Killers, released their new single ‘Runaways’ on June 10th. The track is an electro-rocker mix of crashing guitars and soaring chorus, very distinctive of the band that is back after four years. The band officially premiered the new single on Zane Lowe's Radio 1, however it was leaked earlier in the day on various online locations (June 10th).

Speaking to Lowe about the early online release of ‘Runaways’, The Killers’ frontman Brandon Flowers said: "I'm guilty of checking, seeing what the scoop is. I want people to like it, so I'm kind of curious as to what the reaction is." He added "I've always felt good about this song. It's exciting to think that we're gonna be playing again - we want people to hear this new stuff."

The album 'Battle Born' is scheduled to release on September 17th. Tracks that are confirmed on the album include 'Heart Of A Girl', 'Flesh And Bone' and 'Carry Me Home'. Producers such as Stuart Price, Steve Lillywhite, Damian Taylor and Brendan O'Brien have worked on the album. Let’s see what the band has in store for their fans this fall!

The Killers will also be performing at V Festival in the UK this summer.
